CITY OF ALPHARETTA, GA – The City of Alpharetta announced today that Equifax®, a global data, analytics, and technology company, is investing $25 million to expand its Alpharetta campus, located in Fulton County. The project will enhance the company’s multi-building campus at 1505 Windward Concourse, creating additional space for nearly 250 new jobs and bringing total full-time employment at the site to approximately 1,660.
“This expansion reflects what so many leading companies already know—Alpharetta is a premier destination for top tech talent and innovative businesses,” said Alpharetta Mayor Jim Gilvin. “We’re proud that Equifax continues to grow here and invest in our community.”
The expansion includes the renovation of the third floor of the JV White 1 building, converting it from a data center into collaborative office space for the Equifax Corporate Technology Team. It will support the organization’s continued shift to leveraging the Equifax Cloud™, a top-tier global technology and security infrastructure backed by an approximately $3 billion multi-year investment. One of the largest Cloud initiatives ever undertaken in the industry, the Equifax Cloud has changed nearly every facet of the organization’s infrastructure, further enabling the acceleration of innovation and growth. The project will feature updated workspaces, equipment, furniture, and fixtures, as well as improvements to the on-site parking infrastructure.
“The Equifax Alpharetta campus plays a critical role in our global innovation strategy,” said Mark W. Begor, Equifax Chief Executive Officer. “We are grateful for the support from the City of Alpharetta and believe that this expansion will help us to continue attracting top-tier tech talent going forward.”
