In April 2025, the City of Alpharetta, in partnership with the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau, unveiled Downtown Directory Signs designed to enhance wayfinding and elevate the overall visitor experience.
These signs provide a valuable navigation resource for residents, business travelers, and tourists, offering clear guidance to shops, restaurants, public amenities, and city landmarks. The initiative contributes to a more accessible and engaging environment throughout Downtown Alpharetta.
Enhancing Connectivity in Downtown Alpharetta
Strategically placed throughout the Downtown District, the directory signs feature detailed maps highlighting local businesses open to walk-in customers and city facilities. The signage promotes seamless navigation and encourages increased interaction with Alpharetta’s downtown destinations.
Administered by the City of Alpharetta Economic Development Department, in collaboration with the Community Development Department and the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau, the program is part of a broader strategy to enhance downtown connectivity, support small businesses, and enrich the overall Alpharetta experience. To ensure accuracy and relevance, printed directories will be updated twice a year.
Directory Sign Locations
Three Downtown Directory Signs have been installed at prominent locations to ensure maximum visibility and ease of use:
- Town Green, at the corner of Main Street and North Broad Street
- Ole Milton Park, facing Milton Avenue
- Milton Avenue, near Canton Street
These enhancements reflect the City of Alpharetta’s continued investment in infrastructure that supports tourism, economic growth, and community engagement.
