Ribbon Cuttings
The City of Alpharetta values and supports the success of new and expanding businesses in our community. Businesses located in the City of Alpharetta that hold a valid business license may request the Mayor's attendance at their ribbon-cutting ceremony for events scheduled during normal City business hours (M-F 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM). While the City will make every effort to accommodate these requests, attendance will depend upon the Mayor’s availability and may be subject to change in the event of an emergency or other pressing City matter.
The City of Alpharetta does not coordinate ribbon cuttings or provide supplies. If a business needs assistance planning a ribbon-cutting event, it may consider contacting the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce (GNFCC) via its website or by emailing Sophia Klumb at sklumb@gnfcc.com. GNFCC maintains dedicated programs to help small businesses coordinate and promote their ribbon-cutting events to the business community and the public, offering valuable resources and expanded reach.
