Avanos Medical, Inc. Among Winners for FDA’s Opioid Innovation Challenge

Alpharetta-headquartered Avanos Medical, Inc. has been selected as 1 of 8 winners of the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Opioid Addicition Innovation Challenge.

The innovation challenge was launched in May to spur the development of medical devices and digital health technologies to help combat the nation’s opioid crisis and achieve prevention and treatment of opioid use disorder.

Avanos’ winning product is an enhanced nerve visualization system developed by Avanos’ Acute Pain division.
