Over the past nine months, the City of Alpharetta has seen strong economic momentum, with nine companies choosing to relocate or expand within the city. These projects have added more than 1,200 new jobs and over $33 million in capital investment, reflecting sustained demand for Alpharetta as a destination for headquarters, innovation centers, and advanced manufacturing.
Corporate relocations were a primary driver of this growth, accounting for six of the nine projects. Five of these relocations were headquarters moves, reinforcing Alpharetta’s position as a premier location for executive leadership and corporate decision-making. Companies including 5Q, Ansell, ACCIONA, Hisense, Kawneer, and Kloeckner Metals all chose Alpharetta for their next chapter, collectively leasing more than 155,000 square feet of office space. Notably, each relocation came from within Metro Atlanta, highlighting Alpharetta’s ability to attract top-tier companies from across the region.
Expansion activity accounted for the remaining three projects, which further underscores the strength of Alpharetta’s existing corporate base. Two of the city’s top employers, Equifax and UPS, expanded their corporate offices, signaling continued confidence in Alpharetta as a long-term business hub. In addition, PAJUNK, a German-based medical device manufacturer, grew its advanced manufacturing presence, adding new space and jobs.
Overall, a notable share of this activity was driven by international companies, with firms headquartered in Europe, Asia, and Australia selecting Alpharetta as their U.S. headquarters, divisional leadership, and innovation hub. At the same time, the projects were clustered in high-value sectors—including technology and fintech, advanced manufacturing, global infrastructure, consumer electronics, and logistics—strengthening Alpharetta’s diverse, innovation-driven business environment.
Geographically, this momentum was distributed across several key employment districts, reflecting a balanced and intentional growth pattern. Four projects were located in the Windward District (three of which were east of GA 400), three in the Sanctuary Park/Founders area, and additional investments were made in the Great Oaks and Tradewinds areas. This distribution illustrates the strength of Alpharetta’s product across multiple submarkets, each offering distinct advantages within an amenity-rich environment.
These relocations and expansions reinforce Alpharetta’s sustained economic momentum and its role as a leading destination for corporate investment in Metro Atlanta. With a strong talent pipeline, strategic location, and a business-friendly community, Alpharetta remains a place where companies can scale, innovate, and thrive.
