On Monday, April 14, the Alpharetta City Council approved a comprehensive land use plan amendment, rezoning, and variance request for a mixed-use redevelopment in the city’s Windward District.
McKinley Homes intends to transform a 15-acre site at the corner of Old Morris Road and Morris Road into a vibrant mixed-use destination. The proposed project will enhance the site’s two existing office buildings, totaling 212,000 square feet, by adding 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and introducing a 110-unit for-sale condominium community.
This development builds on Alpharetta’s growing wave of projects that are reimagining legacy office sites into modern, activated workplace environments.
Continuum, Southwest Value Partners’ redevelopment in the Windward area, is transforming a traditional office property into an amenity-rich, integrated hub that incorporates premium office, retail, restaurant, and residential components.
In addition, Portman Holdings will be breaking ground this year on Brookside Village, a 19-acre redevelopment that will transform the former Brookside office campus into a dynamic community featuring residential, retail, and Class A office space.
Together, these projects highlight the continued demand for high-quality, amenity-rich office environments in Alpharetta. The new development on Morris Road will further reinforce the city’s position as one of Metro Atlanta’s leading destinations for innovative companies seeking premier commercial real estate in a walkable, experience-driven setting.
